We're in the month of February. ALREADY. I feel like it flew by and I never say that – January typically feels like the longest month of the whole year! Maybe it's because I am still trying to figure out the best way to tackle my 2019 health and fitness goals. Can I get an AMEN?
Last month I tried out a different personal trainer, did some beachbody on demand workouts at home, and went to few workout classes close to the house. The hardest thing I'm finding is that a lot of the postpartum workouts are a little too soft and a little too easy, but regular workouts are a little intense when you're easing back into things! So I'm trying to find a good balance – something that pushes me, but is doable. Because that's the key, right? Actually doing it!
Basically I've just been trying to do anything I can to be active!! When my mom and sister were in town at New Year's we went on a really nice walk on the beach trail. That's something easy (and beautiful) that I can usually squeeze in because I can multitask by bringing Winnie and check “walk the dog” off my list or meet up with a good girlfriend so we can catch up and burn a few calories!
If you've been following along on Instagram you know that we've also been doing some clean eating at our house. I feel like it's been a lot easier than I thought it would be, and once you're in the habit of clean eating it gets easier and easier.
If you're also feeling like “Oh my gosh, this is SO hard and I'm not seeing any big results yet” just stick with it!! Because, same girl, SAME! The beginning is always the very hardest part. Getting back into working out has been way harder this time around, where eating healthy has been harder in the past for me. Whatever the hardest part is for you, just keep pushing yourself because I really feel like the more you do it, the easier it becomes.

I've been a die hard Nike Free Run Flyknit fan for YEARS. Once you get these babies on your feet, you'll never want to live without them! They're comfortable, they're supportive and they are THE cutest running shoes. I love that they're super lightweight and that you don't even have to wear socks! These run slightly small so I always go up 1/2 size 🙂

These leggings are high-rated AND high-waisted (even though they say mid rise, they totally go above your belly button – WIN!!).
