Transitioning into fall
When it comes to putting together a fall outfit that won't make you literally break a sweat while we wait for the weather to catch up with all of our pumpkin loving festivities, lightweight layers are the KEY!
Breathable fabrics, a pair of super on-trend flare jeans, chunky clogs, and a seriously designer-inspired handbag, and you have the perfect fall outfit! Nordstrom has seriously the best selection that has me swooning right now while I dream of all of the fall activities to come.
Balloon sleeve sweater
This sweater is so adorable! l am LOVING all of the details that make this sweater so unique. The puff shoulder and balloon sleeve is super on trend right now, and the vertical stitching is a subtle but super flattering detail that helps elongate the mid-section.
Sometimes wearing a pullover sweater can make you look shapeless or just be unflattering in general, but this sweater has such a flattering silhouette and is also the perfect length for a front tuck! Later into the fall it will pair perfectly under a moto jacket and other layers.

Flare jeans
The older I get the more important comfort is to me, especially when it comes to the fit of my denim. Enter: the most comfortable flare jeans I've ever worn.
This pair of jeans is incredibly stretchy and high-waisted, making them so flattering and even more comfortable to wear all day long (which is such a win when it comes to a pair of jeans!).
SIZING: They DO run big so I suggest ordering one size down, even if you don't think you'll need a size down – definitely try sizing down one since they will stretch out with wear. So just to be clear, even if you're in between sizes, go down from that smaller size. Just trust me!
The length on these flares is perfect for my tall girls! I prefer a longer length with high-waisted/flare denim, and these totally fit the bill even for a 5'10” girl like me. And if you're shorter, you can always have them tailored (for free!!) by Nordstrom to be the right length. If I'm going to wear a flare jean I definitely want them to reach the floor so I can pair them with the right shoes. These jeans are super highly rated and are worth every penny!
Clogs
Let me blow your mind here for a minute with these clogs! I found the most perfect pair to try out this super cute AND comfortable fall trend – and I seriously can't even begin to describe the comfort level.
I've been hearing how comfortable clogs are (especially this brand) for practically my whole life, but WOW – when I slipped these on, they truly felt unlike any other pair of fall booties/wedges I own! They work perfectly with the length of these flare jeans and are the most effortless pair of shoes to slip on and go in while still looking put together!
Chain link bag
It was love at first sight when I saw this bag! It has a serious designer-inspired look, but way more affordable. I'm obsessed with the chunky gold chain-link hardware. It's also the ideal size to fit all of your staples: your wallet, phone, lipgloss, etc.. but at the same time, it's not bulky AT ALL! It's perfect to throw on and go when you're running errands and need to be sure you have all of your essentials with you, but don't want something that will take up a ton of room!
The vegan leather has a real leather look, and can we just talk about this gorgeous camel color for a minute?! It screams fall to me, but I know I'll get so much wear out of it throughout the year since it's the most perfect neutral shade. Don't sleep on this luxe shoulder bag, it's the perfect way to get the look for less and not sacrifice quality!
