This year's Thanksgiving was a little different and extra special for my family. We had an early Thanksgiving celebration because I'm on modified bed rest carrying our 5th baby, so my parents came into town to make us an early Thanksgiving dinner. My kitchen go-to's

The Always Pan and the Perfect Pot have a permanent place on my kitchen stove. I've used them both DAILY for the past couple of years (when I'm not on bed rest and can cook!) and my mom used both to prep all of the food that we cooked yesterday.

This year's baking obsession

My mom couldn't believe when I told her the Oven Pan we were using for the turkey was not only oven-safe for roasting, but it also turns into a GRIDDLE too! I would've loved this in our first couple of kitchens when we didn't have a built-in griddle, or even as a college student!

We also used their super pretty baking dishes to bake things like the sweet potatoes (that Millie kept asking for seconds, thirds and fourths of, calling them “sweet carrots!”) and for my grandma's stuffing.

Heirloom recipes

I love that Our Place values heritage, cultures, and multi-cultural cooking. My mom is half-Japanese, and her mother (my grandma) is full Japanese, so a lot of recipes (like the ramen we shared here!) come from my Japanese heritage. The Apple, Sausage and Herb stuffing, although not Japanese, is a recipe that my grandma always made for my mom, and my mom has on her blog and included in her new cookbook, and it's a STAPLE for my family and me! I've had it at every Thanksgiving I can ever remember, and I'm not exaggerating when I call it the family favorite. My kids also say it's their very favorite part of Thanksgiving, so if they continue the tradition, it will be a fourth generation recipe.

The Always Pan works at a saute pan, steamer, fry pan, and so much more! So naturally we used the Always Pan, and that alone, to brown, sear, and cook the veggies and meat before. Then we used the baking sheet, cutting board, and knife to create the bread cubes, and we baked the stuffing in one of the Our Place bakeware pieces. It came out so perfect and pretty enough to go straight onto the Thanksgiving table, too.
