I love, love, love decorating a room up for guests! It's so fun to make it feel like a special, peaceful place to rest after a long day and especially living away from family, we love giving them a place to feel comfortable when they stay. The girls have renamed this “Gaga's room” because she's by far their favorite house guest! And our most frequent 🙂 Since we left the murphy bed in our last house, we really needed a new bed frame for the guest room in our new house, and just like this room makeover we did recently for a local single mom, I knew Macy's would be a super great and affordable place to get a few pieces to pull this space back together. I can't wait to show you how it turned out!
The main piece in our room is the Kimbell French Classic Platform bed in beige. I love that the headboard has a classic shape, while the waves along the footboard add some interest and charm. It was perfectly neutral too so that it looked beautiful with the bedding we already had, but I could also switch things up down the road and not worry about clashing with the frame in the future.
The Brenna Side Table is one of those pieces that I can just imagine in any room of the house. It's simple and elegant. I found this blue lamp at a local shop but Macy's has this one that's really similar!
I was so excited when I saw these cute little accent pillows! I thought the pink Siesta pillow was the perfect way to just freshen up the bedding we already had. Wouldn't the #naptime one be so good in a kid's room?!
Another accent I'm loving is this Wire Holder with 5 Glass Vases. They look beautiful on their own, but I can also imagine adding little blooms as the seasons change. Fresh flowers are always the perfect way to invite guests into a space!
