As our family grows, so do the needs of our home! With baby number 5 on the way, we knew we needed some of our kiddos to share a room and get creative with some redesign. Lyla and Millie (our 2nd and 3rd girls) wanted to share a room, which meant we needed a total room refresh. We were able to do it completely in our budget! So I wanted to share with you some girls room ideas, too, for really great prices that'll hopefully help you in designing your own girls' room.

Favorite designer inspired bed + mattress
If you love the designer Jenny Lind beds like me, but you don't love the price tag, you're going to LOVE this find! I was thrilled when I saw this super cute version for a fraction of the price. The frame comes in white, gold, or black. This was one of the ideas for the girls room I was SO excited to see come together all while staying in budget!
These are our most favorite, affordable mattresses! I actually tried to get a cheaper mattress online before when guests were staying with us and it was NOT good quality. We went back to Allswell and we’re always so happy with the quilted top panel giving the best comfort!
For bedding, I was SO excited to find some affordable, cute seersucker comforters and shams. This was one of the girls room ideas that was super budget-friendly (under $40), and the floating top feature puts the stitching on the back of the comforter leaving zero visible tacking on the top of the bedding.
Girls room ideas: other furniture
Nightstands
These nightstands fit perfectly between the girls' beds and I love that the gold pull matches the gold on the bed frame! It also has good storage and I can see my girls growing up with this piece.
Dresser
Matching the nightstand perfectly is this 3 drawer dresser that'll keep the space bright and organized thanks to the deep drawers perfect for storage. And one of the girls room ideas my girls were most excited about was the desk! They’re definitely going to be spending lots of time here coloring, drawing, and doing homework.
Desk & Chair
This desk was perfect in size and functionality with plenty of surface space to work on and lots of drawers to hide the supplies when they’re not using it. I’m obsessed with this chair to go with their desk and the girls adore it!
The cutest desk chairs aren’t always the most comfortable so this cushiony one really stood out, especially at $64! Plus, its feminine color and gold accents made it one of my fave girls room ideas for the space.
Lamps
Oh so loved by the girls is this fun, aqua lamp! Its slim and rectangular design allows it to fit in all places and for just $31 it has great reviews.
There are also tons of high ratings on this adorable mermaid shell lamp for less than $15!
Fun girls room ideas to pull the look together
These throws are definitely one of my designer-inspired girls room ideas, but they feel like the real deal! I think this is the BEST designer-inspired find we’ve bought from Walmart. Under $20 for cozy throws that give the perfect final touch to the room.
These were actually a LAST SECOND addition to the room makeover, but it really just made the whole thing feel complete!
I'm pretty sure my girls were MOST excited about these dolls that have earned nearly 200 rave reviews. They glow in the dark, too!
2022 girls room ideas for less
We’re so excited to see my girls share a room together AND it was great putting all of these girls room ideas together at a really affordable price! I’m so glad my girls love the room as much as I do. I love going to Walmart to find super cute pieces at such great prices! I hope you find some cute things for your girls' room, too.
