Today we are talking some serious clothing business… where to spend your money and where to save it! It is so hard these days to know what is worth investing in or not. I decided to let you guys in on what I personally feel is worth spending your dollars on, and what to buy cheap!
Something I keep in mind when I'm thinking of buying an investment piece is my cost per wear. How many times will I be able to wear this item with different looks? Can I wear it more seasons than one? When you are able to wear these pieces often without them wearing out on you, they are completely worth it!
For starters, jeans! You guys, I can't say how much I love a high quality pair of denim. When you invest in nice jeans, they not only last wayyyy longer than cheap pants, but they are WAY more flattering. For me, that's worth it! These jeans are so comfortable and so soft, I'm obsessed.
Next, high quality bags. Bags are totally worth spending the extra money on because you can literally use them for years and they hold up so well, they usually have great resale value too if you decide you're tired of a certain style and want to sell one. This crossbody bag is one I invested in and I am so glad I did! It seriously looks new and goes with every single outfit, whether I dress it up or down.
For trendier items and t-shirts, I am totally okay with going the inexpensive route. There are so many cute options that out there, I feel like I can get a few new options without feeling guilty! This pink tee is so soft and comfortable. It was for sure on the higher end of what I like to spend for tees but we have LOTS of cute inexpensive options at the bottom of this post for you!
Heels are also another investment I believe in. A good pair of pumps will never go out of style and can go with almost every outfit. These beauties add just a little bit of personality to any outfit. I bought them on Ebay last year and have used them over and over!
