ONE midi skirt, TWO ways

The title of the post might be one skirt, two ways but there are really about a zillion ways to wear this versatile and highly rated midi skirt. This skirt is so good, I guarantee that you are going to have it on repeat as many ways as possible, as often as possible, and praying you don't run into the people you saw the last time you wore it! It is UNDER $100, super flattering, and the perfect length. In today's post I'm sharing my two (current) favorite ways to style this closet staple midi.

Must-have midi skirt

This midi skirt is butter, butter, BUTTERY soft, and a total compliment magnet. The ratings are absolutely bananas good. Like 97% of shoppers would recommend this versatile stunner to all their friends kind of good. So good. Many, many of the reviewers mentioned owning this skirt in multiple colors because it is so versatile and comfortable. Dress it up, dress it down, wear it backwards (seriously)-THIS is the go-to skirt of fall.

The twist front detailing defines and accentuates your waist for an ultra-flattering fit. It runs true to size and comes in FIVE fun colors. I love that this midi skirt has a slit to keep it feeling feminine and flirty without being too high or scandalous.

Low-key shimmer tee

For the dressed up look, I paired my perfect midi skirt with this pretty shimmer tee. I love that it's dressy without being over the top. We have spent so much of 2020 at home in sweats and athleisure that I need to ease my way back in. HA!

This look is perfect for church or date night or a nicer outing with girlfriends. I tucked in this top for a more streamlined look, but it has a super cute cinched waist so it could easily be worn untucked as well.

Comfortable pumps

I really wanted to wear my Louboutins for this shoot, but post-quarantine baby steps you guys! Louboutin So Kates are literally THE MOST flattering shoes in the world, but NOT the most comfortable.

This highly rated (over 1K perfect or nearly perfect reviews) less expensive look-alike gets a 9/10 from me for comfort. Honestly, they are the most comfortable pumps that I own. The brand specifically designed this pump with special comfort technology and added a built-in padded sock. Translation: it looks like a gorgeous classic pump but it wears like your favorite Nike.

An itty bitty bag

This gorgeous supermini bag provided the cutest, chicest contract to my midi skirt. It is the ideal size for running a quick errand or for date night when I just need my keys, wallet, and lip gloss. A major classic that garners rave reviews and that you will use for YEARS. Plus there are at least 6 ways to wear this bag (including as a belt bag) so it is almost as versatile as the midi skirt.

If you want that same look without the price tag though, this is a super cute designer-inspired lookalike bag for $19.98 and the color “blush light” is almost the same!

Top-rated white tee

Now that I've showed you a dressy look with this skirt, how about a dressed DOWN look?! Comfy to the max = my jam.

This basic white tee is a favorite that I shared recently in my amazon faves roundup that I wore under this romper, and I love it with this skirt too! It's a little thicker and NOT see-thru which I love, and I sized down 1 size so that it would be more fitted to wear tucked into this skirt and with the romper in my other post. It conveniently comes in a 2-pack making it affordable and easy for wardrobe rotation. WIN!

Scalloped sneakers

These scalloped low-top sneakers take the term lightweight to the next level. They are literally the most lightweight sneakers I have ever felt in my life. Seriously, they weigh like nothing. The scallop detailing is so, so cute and they are crazy comfortable to wear. 

Wear everywhere white bag

The white on white on white of bag, sneakers, and tee really made the midi skirt POP! I am totally partial to outfits with a hero piece and love the way the skirt is the focal point of this casual look. This satchel is the perfect medium-sized bag that fits all your everyday essentials without being ginormous.
