When I polled my audience a couple weeks ago about what YOU guys want to see, I gave a couple of ideas: warm weather activities and bathing suits or spring outfits! Most of you wanted to see some spring outfits, so I made it my mission to find the BEST pieces for spring!
California is still feeling a little chilly, as I imagine is the case in a lot of places, so I wanted to just bring the spring VIBE and get pieces that can transition seamlessly as the weather changes. Think spring with layering options for those still-chilly nights!
My top priority: SPRING DENIM TRENDS! I wanted to find a killer pair of jeans that tells the winter blues to get outta town. Must be: lighter wash, comfortable, totally flattering and easily paired with cool or warm weather tops/shoes. I tried on all the spring jeans (at Nordstrom-where else?!) for a looooooong time to find you the BEST two pairs that I think your spring wardrobe needs! I'm bringing you a splurge and a save option and, spoiler alert: I'm just as obsessed with the budget-friendly pair as I am with the designer pair!

The v best high-waisted non-skinny jeans
These jeans were love at first try. I love the simple distressing that is only at the knee, it makes them easy to dress up or down. And although I am a skinny-jeans-fan for life, I do think it's fun to try different silhouettes and if branching out to NON-skinnies is a priority to you, these are my very top pick. This winning pair of jeans is super high-rise, stretchy, and get all the stars from me (and from Nordstrom reviewers!).
Think: jeans that you'll be so comfortable in, you won't even care about whether it's time to swap them out for sweats. Yes, they're THAT good!
Ivory block heels
I paired the jeans with these heeled sandals to dress them up, but I LOVE the idea of wearing them with a front-tucked band tee and sneakers!
These pretty braided sandals have perfect ratings, are super comfortable and totally versatile. Although these are my “splurge” option, they ring up at $119.95 so they aren't a blow your budget shoe by any means. And you'll get TONS of use out of them! I'm so sad that these only have a few sizes left in the denim color, so here's a similar pair and here's another for less.
Linen blouse
Did you know that Rails is one of Nordstroms top-selling shirt brands? I love their lightweight button downs, and this one is no exception. The fit is flattering but not stiff, and it comes in two different colors, including a wardrobe staple white-on-white stripe!

Light denim skinnies
This light-wash pair of skinny jeans gives the perfect nod to the 80's without feeling retro! They are super stretchy, the bum is actually really flattering (if I do say so myself!), and they are high waisted to hold you in! When I tried these on there was NO hesitation about them coming home with me.
And for only $78, I'm going to be getting SO much wear out of them this spring! They come in 4 different washes, and I'm wearing them in the Sunday Blue wash.
Dressy flip-flops
These flip flops are a dressier alternative to $3 rubber pool shoes! I honestly have no qualms about pairing these with a dress or skirt, but I can still wear them to the pool or beach because they are patent leather and easily wipe down. The color is on point and can literally be paired with anything!
Transitional top
This $39 top might be one of my favorite recent finds! I'm wearing it in the gray and white stripe, but it also comes in three other colors. I love that it's not quite a long sleeve, and that it could easily be thrown under a layer if the weather stays cool. Or you could pair it with shorts and the flip flops for a casual lunch date!
Budget-friendly bag
This $49 hobo bag was a fun new find for me, and I'm loving it! It's the perfect size, not too big but you can still fit a LOT of stuff in it because it's not stiff. I've been buying this brand for years, and I can always count on their pieces to hold up and be fashion forward.
Sunnies
Aviators are always a good idea, and these ones have a liiiiiittle glitter on them which just makes them that much more fun! These sunnies are already super affordable at only $65!!!! Such a good “look for less” if you love Ray Bans but haven't taken the plunge on them yet. Run, don't walk, for this killer find!!

High-low Spring trends
When I went searching for spring fashion pieces, my first stop was Nordstrom. I love that I can create affordable AND designer outfits, all from under the same roof! And don't forget the services Nordstrom offers, like free shipping and returns, buy online/pick up in store, and curbside pickup! Plus allllll the perks of being in the Nordy Club! Shopping at Nordstrom has never been so easy.
Since there are so many killer spring and transitional pieces right now, we wanted to give a round up of our favorites both OVER $100 and UNDER $100! And for those of you who voted to see swimwear on my Instagram, here's a roundup of the best in that category as well!

So many good items in this post! Do you think the hobo bag would work on a petite lady ( like 5’) or would it be overwhelming.
Hey Jennica! Corrine said it’s really not a huge bag so she thinks it would be perfect even on someone petite!! 🙂 -Kourtney
