You know that moment when you walk into a store, you're kind of moseying about, just glancing here and there for maybe the perfect thing or just something that might look okay when you get it from the hanger onto yourself in the dressing room and then BAM out of nowhere you see it! That's what happened with this skirt and me.
I had an armful of clothes. I was done! I had found several things I loved and was all ready to be done shopping for the day when out of the corner of my eye I spied this blue striped skirt of beauty and it was eyeball popping love at first sight. I didn't even need to try it on! I had to have it.
Except I probably should have tried it on because what I discovered was, this skirt runs incredibly small! So small that I had to take the original purchase back to the store. But not SO small that I was like whatever, send it back and I'm done with it. No, I wanted it exchanged as quickly as possible because I knew the possibility of it selling out was just too high of a risk for me.
I exchanged for the next size up, found an eyelet shirt that I felt would compliment it perfectly, and put on my highest heeled shoes I love and hate the most at the same time (the prettiest but least comfortable pair I own! My 3 minute shoes ha), topped it off with one of my beloved on purpose totes, and had one very Corrine-ified outfit.
This skirt is the prettiest in person. It looks even better in person than I could possibly explain or show in these photos and I bought it twice because I loved it so much. That, my friends, is true wardrobe love.
