Fall just comes and goes in the blink of an eye, doesn't it? It's the best season of the whole year with fantasy pumpkins and caramel apple cider and plaids and blankets and pumpkin spice everything. Having transitional pieces in your closet is the perfect way to make sure you're ready to go from season to season without missing a beat. Layering becomes my best friend in the Fall because I swear I start every day off freezing my buns off and by 3 p.m. I'm sweating! I love to be able to stay comfortable even when the temperatures go up and down, and today I'm showing you a few transitional pieces that are helping me do just that.
Lightweight long sleeves are an awesome transitional piece for fall to winter because they're so easy to layer! This one has a high-low hem, so it's a great length for jeans or leggings, and I love how the ruffles make this blouse feel dressy. They add such a fun flair to the whole look! I kept my entire outfit black, which I think makes textural detail like those ruffles stand out even more.
A plaid moto jacket is one of those things I didn't think I needed until it was in my closet…suddenly, I want to wear it every day! This one has an asymmetrical zipper, so it looks really cute zipped up, but it still hangs really well if you want to wear it open as more of a layering piece. This fall jacket is actually exclusive to Bloomingdale's , so you can't get it anywhere else, and I'm in love with this print. Perfect for fall to winter!
